Diego studied the relationship between tattoos and jewelry as decorative arts applied to the human body. He researched the history of tattoos and the culture created around this art (particularly in the contemporary world), combined with a study of the jewelry trends, uses, and typologies.
People get attached emotionally to both tattoos and jewelry, which gives them a higher level of value for the people who wear them. Combining these two concepts creates an object of utmost desire for the artist, as well as the merge of two arts that have always coexisted but were rarely fused in such a way.
